Quarter Life Crisis

So, my friends and I have recently begun our quarter life crisis… Lots of drinking, and even worse, the realization that we cannot drink like we did in college. Than, I came accross the site Stumbleupon.com that will take your interests and pull up random sites that apply to those interests… And just when I thought I hit the peak of my crisis, I came accross it:

Things Other People Accomplished When They Were Your Age

A site devoted to telling you what people at your age or BY your age had done in their life… Here’s just a few tidbits, the rest you could go see for yourself:

At 25:

  • Charles Lindbergh became the first person to fly alone across the Atlantic, thus winning a $25,000 prize.
  • Charles Chaplin had appeared in 35 films.
  • Orson Welles coscripted, directed, and starred in Citizen Kane.
  • Physician Roger Bannister broke the four minute mile.

At 24:

  • Entrepreneur Ted Turner took over his father’s billboard advertising business. He later launched CNN.
  • Tracy Chapman released her first album, winning three Grammies.

At 23:

  • Jack Nicklaus became the youngest golfer to win the Masters.
  • John Singleton directed his first film, “Boyz ‘N the Hood.”

Had enough yet???

Well cheer up, there’s still hope… Sarah Silverman said it best during this year’s VMAs when talking about Brittany Spears, “… She is 25-years-old and she’s already accomplished everything she’s going to accomplish in her life.” So while you’re sitting there, sulking that you’re already 25 and have accomplished so little in your life, just think, at least you’re not Brittany Spears.

Better yet, USE OUR SITE… And at least be creative while drinking your sorrows away!
