Adults fined for underage drinking

posted in Drunken Stories |

Drunken TeenImagine being a parent and getting fined for allowing your kid to have a drink? Apparently it’s possible, and of course you have to be living in the US. Well, everyone has probably mentioned or heard “Why let 18 year olds join the army and not let them have a drink”. Well Read this article published by the Associated Press, where we’d say that such parents should be punished for allowing their kids to DUI, and not for allowing them to drink. Anyway, we are not here to allow teens to drink nor change the laws, but it’s retarded enough being fined in your own home…

PATTERSON, Calif.—Adults who allow underage drinking at their homes could face criminal charges and be fined up to $1,500 under an ordinance being considered by the Patterson City Council. Patterson is the latest city in Stanislaus County to consider measures to punish adults who contribute to teen drinking. So-called “social host” ordinances have been adopted in Modesto, Newman, Waterford, Oakdale and Ceres.

The measures gained support last year after a Grayson mother admitted giving alcohol to a dozen teenagers who were injured in a car accident after they left her home. She was also convicted of having sex with two teens at a previous party.
