GOTCHA! – Ok, ok, in all seriousness now, here are the Top 10 Shots (In OUR opinion) of the alcoholic persuasion:
#10 – SoCo & Lime:
Like it says, Southern Comfort Whiskey and lime juice… Great taste, but is ranked 10th due to the hangover it causes come the morning… Due to the sweetness of the drink.
#9 – Flaming Doctor Pepper:
Come on, you actually light this shot on fire!!! All you need is Bacardi 151, some Amaretto, beer and a match!
#8 – Jager Bomb:
Anything that combines caffeine and alcohol is welcomed… This mix is particularly delicious. Jager Bombs, Jager Bombs, Jager Bombs (My New haircut).
#7 – Blow Job:
Ok, so this one is more for the women out there. There are a bunch of variations, but this seems to be the most popular. Bailey’s Irish Cream & Kahlua. Top with Whip Cream… Hands behind your backs ladies – Guys, watch and enjoy!
#6 – The Mind Eraser:
Vodka, Kahlua & tonic. 2 oz of each!!! Thats the equivalent of 3 shots. Don’t forget to serve on the rocks with a straw and drink it all in one take. Then kiss your memory goodbye. We do not take responsibilty for the sever “lack in judgement” you are sure to experience after a few of these.
Now for the Top 5… I have reserved these spots for STRAIGHT shots.
#5 – Landmine:
I took this one on my 21st… Put me on my ass… Pour 4 shots, Rum (Clear Rum), Vodka, 2 Water… Have your friend mix up the order and take them one after the other. Watch out for the “landmines”.
#4 – Three Wisemen:
Jim Beam, Jack Daniels & Johnnie Walker. These three “wisemen” are sure to make you do things that are quite “UN-wise”.
#3 – Jägermeister:
A favorite of mine. It is a German 70 proof liqueur made with herbs, roots, and spices. It is the flagship product of Mast-Jägermeister AG, headquartered in Wolfenbüttel, south of Braunschweig, Germany. Contrary to urban legend, it is NOT made with deer or elk blood (Source: Wikipedia). Be sure to serve chilled!
#2 – Whiskey:
Real men prefer Jack. Jack Daniel was born in September, 1850, although seemingly no one knows the exact date because the birth records were destroyed in a courthouse fire. If these records are indeed correct it is quite possible that he was licensed as a distiller as early as 1866 at the young age of 16 (Source: Wikipedia). If it is good enough for a 16-year-old it is good enough for me and the #2 slot!
#1 – Tequila:
Dating back to the 16th century, the Aztec’s first made this fermented beverage from the Agave plant. When the Spanish conquistadors ran out of their own brandy, they began to distill this agave drink to produce North America’s first indigenous distilled spirit. Some 80 years later, around 1600, Don Pedro Sánchez de Tagle, the Marquis of Altamira, began mass-producing tequila. Today there are hundreds of brands . I prefer the better brands of course, namely Don Julio & Patron, take your pick… The morning after tends to be a tad better, although the difference, depending on the night may be negligible.
Honorable Mention: Red-Headed Slut, Kamikaze… They just didn’t make the cut.
