Pink by Yellowglen Sparkling Wine

posted in Wine |

My hubby and I just bought a new vehicle this week, and decided to buy a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine, eat some pizza and watch a movie on the DVD player with our blankets and sleeping bags inside of the SUV! (We’re cheesy like that! LOL)

So, as you probably know, sparkling wine is the same thing as champagne, except it’s not made in Champagne, France! A bubbly wine can only be termed champagne if it’s actually made there!

Well, that got us hook, line and sinker because I used to live in Australia, and secondly, we had never had a sparkling wine from Aussieland before.

The bottle is really modern and cool, looking black with hot pink writing.

It is blended of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that is described to have strawberry aromas and refreshing fruit flavors of sweet berry and lime.

It was quite tasty, but not as sweet as we usually enjoy, but probably exactly what most people anticipate when it comes to sweetness.

It had a citrus flavor, as it spoke of pink grapefruit to me and less”fruity” or berry-like.

My husband said he could taste lime and felt that it was quite fruity.

All-in-all, a good choice, especially if you’re ready to do a little celebrating!

We enjoyed it, although it was gone too quickly! LOL

Very affordable at $7.95.
