Lakeview Cellars 2007 Vidal Icewine Review

posted in Wine |

Ripe grapes.jpgI LOVE ICEWINE!

That’s right! I do…it’s one of the most amazing beverages you could ever partake in imbibing! LOL

For New Year’s we always have champagne, but we always have an icewine for dessert too that night!

In fact, we try to have icewine for every occasion here in the Niagara Region!

This New Year’s we had the Lakeview Cellars 2007 Vidal Icewine.

It’s a very sweet, white dessert wine and it is spectacular, to say the least!

Very leggy – meaning when you “swirl” the wine in your glass, it’s how big and how long the “legs” or streams of wine that flow back down the sides of the glass stay there.

A beautiful varietal and somewhat different than the typical Riesling variety they use for most icewines around the world.

Here, in the Niagara Region, we’re spoiled with many different varieties, and different fruits even, that vintners are willing to use and experiment with for icewine! It’s a beautiful thing!

I hope you enjoyed this Wine Review on SizzUp! Until next time…

Drink Deliciously,
