If you love sweet wine, reminiscent of Mogen David, then you’ll love this fabulous wine from Manischewitz.

It’s a kosher wine, it’s 11% alcohol and guaranteed no less than 51% concord grapes.

If you don’t like sweet wine, don’t even go here…LOL…

Honestly, it tastes just like Welch’s grape juice with a kick!

It’s certified kosher in that it’s “under strict supervision by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America”.

It’s really delicious and can substitute nicely for a port in a recipe, but I simply enjoy a small glass before dinner, with dinner or after dinner.

Really delicious and accessible for so many people.

Also, it’s not very expensive. Tonight, we bought a 750 mL bottle for $4.00 at our local grocery store.

We recommend this wine to “sweet wine drinkers”.

I hope you enjoy this Wine Review on SizzUp! Until next time…

Drink Deliciously,

Kimberly Edwards 🙂

I have been looking for a red wine that is sweet and delicious. I don’t know if this qualifies as “red” but it is perfect for me. I really enjoy the taste of the sweet spumante and cinzano sparkling white wine. This is comparable without the bubbles and the price is right. I’m sold!

Could you please let me know what local grocery store did you buy the wine from? I checked our local ones, but couldn’t fine any. Was it Ralphs, Albertson, Wal-mart, Stat Brothers etc? Thanks.

I purchased a bottle of the Concord Grape made by Manischewitz. It is really delicious. I enjoy it even more because I know that it is Kosher. The benefits of wines like this is that they normally are full of poly-phenols. Poly-phenols helps with heart disease, cancers, cholesterol etc.

    Hi Empress!

I’m so glad you tried it and enjoyed it! It’s one of my favorite, and yes, this sort of wine is “healthy” for you. It’s great for cooking as well!

@ Kay: Yes – this is a red wine – it’s sweet, full-bodied and delicious! And Yes…the price is right!

@ Troy: In Canada, we purchase this wine @ LCBO, but in the States, you can typically get it @ Walmart, Albertson’s and Tom Thumb’s for sure!
